Hyderabad, Sep 10 (ANI): All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi accused Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led state governments of diluting case against mob lynching cases accused. Speaking to mediapersons Owaisi said, "It is a clear cut fact that the BJP-led Jharkhand government is ensuring that all the cases that have been booked against the accused is diluted. There is a consistent pattern that wherever BJP is in power, the accused are being protected. The criminal cases of mob lynching against them are diluted. This is again a consistent behaviour of BJP ruled states to protect the accused who have beaten Muslims or Dalits which subsequently led to their death."

Mumbai, Sep 10 (ANI): Virali Modi, a wheelchair-bound woman was allegedly asked to stand up from her wheelchair for security check at Delhi airport despite her declaring that she can't stand due to a spinal injury she suffered in 2006. While speaking to ANI, Virali Modi said, "I've sent email to CISF HQ. I also called them up and registered complaint. Sr Commander, Delhi called me up and apologised. But that isn't enough, something more should be done. More training should be given to them. They need to be more empathetic. Want a written apology."

Jaipur (Rajasthan), September 10 (ANI): In a meeting with 15th Central Finance Commission in Jaipur, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot urged the commission to provide adequate financial support to the state in view of contrasted geographical and social situation, limited resources and future requirements. Chief Minister requested to allocate additional resources for the drinking water and irrigation, health, education, roads, energy, information technology and also for development of tourism in the state. Khanna (Punjab), Sep 10 (ANI): Former MLA from Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Baldev Kumar, who is seeking Indian Government's assistance to get asylum on September 10, reacted on minority discrimination in the neighbouring country. He said that people who works for Pakistani agency gets special attention in respected Gurdwaras and other shrines there. Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh), Sep 10 (ANI): While speaking to ANI about the details of bank fraud cases which were registered in the first quarter of this financial year, an RTI activist from Madhya Pradesh's Neemuch, Chandra Shekhar Gaur said, "I had filed a Right to Information (RTI) at RBI, seeking details of bank fraud cases registered in first quarter of this financial year and amount involved. As per Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) data 2480 cases registered, as far as 18 public sector banks are concerned. Rs 31,898.63 Crore is involved." "Most cases are related to State Bank of India (SBI)-1197 where Rs 12,012.77 Crore is involved. Allahabad Bank comes 2nd with 381 cases where Rs 2855.45 Crore involved. PNB comes 3rd-99 cases with Rs 2526.55 Crore involved. RBI said data on extent of loss is not available with them," he added.
Malkangiri (Odisha), Sep 10 (ANI): Hailing from Odisha's Naxal-affected Malkangiri district, 27-year-old Anupriya Lakra has scripted history by becoming the first female pilot from the backward region. Lakra, who will soon join a private airline as a co-pilot, has achieved this feat after years of hard work. At 23, she decided to quit engineering and join the aviation academy to fulfil her dream of becoming a pilot. Extending good wishes on her remarkable achievement, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had said in a tweet that Lakra has become an inspiration by setting an example for others to emulate.
