Pune (Maharashtra), Aug 31 (ANI): To preserve and document the language of Arunachal, Banwang Losu has created a script for his tribe's language Wancho, which now has a place in the Unicode. The Wancho language belongs to the Tibeto-Burman family under Northern Naga languages. Banwang who is pursuing his Masters in linguistics at Deccan College Post Graduation and Research Institute in Pune has been working to develop a script for Wancho- a tribal language that has 55,000 speakers in Longding district, Arunachal Pradesh. In 2013, a book titled 'Wancho script' was published. This book carries basic application of letters into words and sentences. The new script has come as a boon for Wancho-speaking people in Longding district.
Dhule (Maharashtra), Aug 31 (ANI): At least 12 people have lost their lives in an explosion which broke out in a chemical factory in the Shirpur area of Maharashtra's Dhule on Aug 31. The State Disaster Resource Force (SDRF) teams are carrying out rescue operation in the area and the NDRF team was alerted.
Bhopal (Madhya Prdaesh), Aug 31 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh minister Govind Singh Rajput supported Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia for the post of state party president. He said that Scindia in race to be the state president. He said, "His stature is so tall that he will not try very hard for this post. It is not only my wish but the whole state will be very happy if Scindia ji assumes charge of the State Congress".
New Delhi, Aug 31 (ANI): Google's Threat Analysis Group (TAG) discovered that a collection of malicious websites allowed hacking of the iPhones using the zero-day vulnerability for over at least two years. In its official blog, Google said that the hacked sites were being used to attack against the visitors. TAG was able to collect five unique iPhone exploit chains, affecting every version from iOS 10 through to the latest iOS 12. By simply visiting the hacked site, it was enough for the exploit server to attack the device and install a monitoring implant. The bug was reported earlier this year and Apple had fixed the issues in the iOS 12.1.4 release.

Around 3.11 crore people have been found eligible for inclusion in final list leaving out almost 19 lakh people.
Srinagar (J-K), Aug 31 (ANI): Around 575 youth from J-K joined the 'Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JKLI) regiment. They joined during the passing out parade in Srinagar. The event was organised with great pomp and show. One of the cadets on joining Army said, "I'm very happy, my parents are feeling proud. We get to learn a lot in the Army, both physically and mentally. My father was in Army too, his uniform inspired me to join the forces."

Guwahati (Assam), Aug 31 (ANI): A day before the publication of the final list of the government's National Register of Citizens (NRC), Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal urged upon the people of Assam to maintain peace and tranquillity in the state. "The NRC, which has been updated by the State NRC Coordinator and his team under the monitoring of the Supreme Court of India and supervision of the Registrar General of India, is an outcome of the untiring efforts of the thousands of people, Those people whose names have been excluded from proposed NRC, would get an opportunity to file their appeal and be heard in the Foreigners' Tribunal (FT) as per the direction of the Union Home Ministry."

Speaking on the issue BJP Delhi president Manoj Tiwari said, "National Register of Citizens (NRC) is needed in Delhi as situation is becoming dangerous. Illegal immigrants who have settled here are the most dangerous, we will implement NRC here as well."

Hyderabad, Aug 31 (ANI): Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu met Indian badminton player PV Sindhu at his residence in Hyderabad on August31. Sindhu became the first-Indian to win gold medal in Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Championships. She defeated Japan's Nozomi Okuhara in finals of tournament on Aug 25. VP Venkaiah Naidu also tweeted about the meet. Calling Sindhu nation's pride, VP Naidu said, "I am extremely happy to meet her and I would like to congratulate her for this historic win. She is a pride of our nation and is a great inspiration for the budding sports enthusiasts across the country."
Roorkee (Uttarakhand), Aug 31 (ANI): A woman gave birth with the help of Govt Railway Police (GRP) personnel in Durgiana Express on August 30. After the woman complaint of labour pain, the train was stopped at Roorkee which wasn't a designated stop. She and the baby were later admitted to hospital for treatment.
Cuttack (Odisha), Aug 31 (ANI): The Forest Department personnel rescued an Indian pangolin from a house at Athagarh in Odisha's Cuttack on August 31. The rescued pangolin is currently kept in the Badamba Forest Range and will later be released into Nandankanan Zoo.
Gorakhpur (UP), Aug 31 (ANI): UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated projects worth Rs 9.96 crore comprising 25 floating cascade fountains, 1 multimedia floating fountain and 450 kw solar power plant at Ramgarh Tal Lake. These projects have been built under the National Lake Conservation Programme of the Government of India and the pollution control and conservation plan of the Urban Development Department for Ramgarh Tal Lake.

Vijayawada (AP), Aug 31 (ANI): A Vijayawada resident Swarnalata writes to Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan seeking either to approve euthanasia plea for her mentally-challenged daughter Jahnavi or to take action against the doctor who denied treatment to her daughter. While speaking to ANI, Swarnalata said, "She is suffering from psychological disorder since she was 4 and some gynec since she was 8. She was being treated at a hospital where my husband is senior assistant. But Dr Rajya Lakshmi, who took charge as Head of Psychology Dept in 2010 refused to give her treatment."
