Patna (Bihar)/ Vaishali (Bihar)/ Hajipur (Bihar), Nov 03 (ANI): The voting began for 2nd phase of Bihar Assembly polls on Nov 03. 1463 candidates, including RJD leaders Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav are in fray for 94 seats across 17 districts of Bihar. The polling booths were sanitized in wake of COVID-19 and social distancing norms were also followed. Locals came in to vote today.
Poonch (J-K), Nov 03 (ANI): Border Security Force (BSF) organised a free medical camp in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district. Medical camp was organised under their civic action plan. It was held on November 02 in Basoni Village area. People in large numbers visited the medical camp for free health check up. Free medicines were also provided by the doctors to them.
Raghopur/ Patna (Bihar), Nov 03 (ANI): As Bihar goes to polls in second phase on November 3, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav while talking to ANI said that people of "Bihar will vote for change". Yadav said, "In this tsunami of change people of Bihar will vote on agenda of 'Padhai, Kamai, Dawai, Sichai, Mehengai'. I am sure they will vote for us as they want achange in state, they want proactive and progressive government. People of Bihar will vote for change." "It will be clear, first phase has already given an indication," he added. Voting will also be held in Raghopur, from where Tejashwi has filed his nomination.
Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Nov 03 (ANI): All 'Aahar Centres' in Odisha's Bhubaneswar became operational from November 02. Centres run by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) serve food at nominal cost of Rs 5. Speaking to ANI, BMC Deputy Commissioner Suvendu Kumar Sahoo said, "There are 12 'Aahar Centres' under BMC of which only five were operating and all of them are functional now."

The new infrastructure will promote swimming activities amongst youth. The swimming pool in the UT will aim to bring a revolution in the water sports activities. Kashmir Valley has a good number of water bodies holding a great potential of sports tourism. The total budget of the swimming pool construction is Rs 20 crore.
Gopalganj (Bihar), Nov 03 (ANI): Bike-borne men allegedly attacked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Bihar's Baikunthpur, Mithilesh Kumar Tiwari on November 02. He staged a sit-in protest outside police station alleging that attackers were supporters of independent candidate Manjeet Singh. He also accused police of inaction. Speaking to media, Mithilesh Kumar Tiwari said, "There were reports that Independent candidate Manjeet Singh's men are distributing money and sarees among people. I was talking to my workers about this when around 50 bike-borne men-supporters of Manjeet Singh came and attacked me." "I will sit here until their arrest," said MLA as he sat on protest outside police station.
New Delhi, Nov 03 (ANI): Tech giant Google is introducing custom backgrounds for its Meet video-conferencing platform, the company announced in a blog post. According to The Verge, if the user makes use of Meet in Google's Chrome browser, then he/she should be able to access the feature in Chrome OS as well as on Windows and Mac laptops and desktops. The feature is "coming soon" to mobile, Google said. However, no browser extension is needed to activate custom backgrounds; and the user should be able to add a background image from his/her own photo collection or from a library of images provided by Google. The library includes landscapes, abstract art and offices. As reported by The Verge, it may take up to a week before all Google Meet users can access the new custom background option, the company said. Google integrated Meet into Gmail in May, adding a sidebar link and making meetings of up to 100 people with no time limits available to anyone with a Google account.

Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau named M Sivasankar, former Principal Secretary of Kerala CMO, as the 5th accused in the Wadakkanchery Life Mission scam case. Bureau has submitted a report in the Special Vigilance Court in Thiruvananthapuram on November 02.
Mumbai, Nov 02 (ANI): Three illegal Bangladeshi immigrants and 2 agents were caught in Mumbai on November 02. The accused were caught in Mayanagri's Sakinaka area. Indian passports, Aadhar cards, stamps were also recovered from them. Mumbai Police official said, "Police here caught 3 Bangladeshi citizens. Interrogation led to 2 agents who were arrested with various forgery materials like Indian passports. FIR has been lodged under Passport act, forgery and various other acts."
Patna (Bihar), Nov 02 (ANI): RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav attended "yuva naukri samvad" program on November 02 ahead of second round of voting for state assembly elections. In the event, Tejashwi Yadav promised to give jobs to 10 lakh people even if that required cutting of salaries of CM, ministers and MLAs. He said, "To give jobs to 10 lakh people, even if the salaries of the chief minister, ministers and MLAs need to be cut, then it will be done and jobs will be given."

K Poswal said, "These are terrorist associates who are a part of a criminal conspiracy. They attacked BJP's vice president. We have alerted the people who were in their target and have also provided them protection. And we will try to nail the whole system. They used a mobile apps and social media to approach youth to join terrorism. Probe revealed more attacks were being planned and they were in touch with their associates in Pakistan. We've recovered 2 pistols, magazines and ammunition, detonators and Pakistani flag."

He said, "In the Ballabhgarh incident, the girl's parents have alleged that their daughter ran into an instance of 'Love-Jihad'. Other cases like this have intermittently surfaced too. I have also instructed the SIT to look into an angle of 'Love-Jihad'." "We are also deliberating on whether to bring in any law in this regard with our coalition partners and other states like UP. We are a democratic country and problems are only solved with laws, not sticks. So we'll make this law having discussed it with all," he added. The statement comes after a 21-year-old woman, was shot in broad daylight outside her college in Faridabad.

New Delhi, November 2 (ANI): North District of Delhi Police has busted a syndicate of Interstate drug peddlers active in Delhi. The gang members used to hire truck to smuggle drugs from Malkangiri, Odisha to Raipur, Chhattisgarh and further sale/supply the drugs through small vehicles in Delhi and UP. An input regarding supply of Cannabis/Ganja from Malkangiri, Odisha via Raipur Chhattisgarh was received by the police team. During continuous intelligence gathering, police team received secret information that 03 persons would come near Wazirabad Flyover in a taxi to supply contraband Cannabis/Ganja. The police team laid a trap near the place of information and at about 5:00 pm, one taxi was parked on the spot with two persons sitting inside. After waiting for some time, they were intercepted and search of both persons and two plastic bags kept in the vehicle was conducted. Total 51 kg of Cannabis/Ganja were recovered on the spot from taxi.
