Fighting corruption is collective responsibility: PM Modi

New Delhi, Oct 27 (ANI): During press conference held on October 27, NITI Aayog member Dr VK Paul said, "Even countries of much greater economic capability, per capita income and good health system can succumb to a huge second peak is a lesson for all of us. Covaxin got approval for phase-III trials: DG ICMR

New Delhi, Oct 27 (ANI): During press conference held on October 27, ICMR DG Balram Bhargava said, "Kawasaki disease is an auto-immune disease that affects children who are less than 5 years of age. It is less common in India. I don't think we have had any experience of Kawasaki with COVID-19 in India so far, that's a very rare condition. Overall the figure in India is that below the age of 17 years, only 8% are COVID-19 positive, and below the age of 5 years, that figure would be much less." He further said, "Three vaccine candidates in different stages of clinical testing- Covaxin has got approval for phase III trials, Cadila also progressing with phase-II trials and Serum is completing phase 2b trial and has an ongoing trial in Brazil, South Africa and US."

COVID-19 recovery rate at 90.62% in country: Health Ministry

New Delhi, Oct 27 (ANI): During press conference held on October 27, Secretary of Health Ministry, Rajesh Bhushan said, "Number of recovered cases has exceeded 72 lakh now. COVID-19: 78% of active cases present in 10 states, UTs, informs Health Ministry

New Delhi, Oct 27 (ANI): During press conference held on October 27, Secretary of Health Ministry, Rajesh Bhushan said, "78 per cent of active cases are present in 10 states and UTs. 58% of new deaths reported in five States and Union Territories (Maharashtra, West Bengal, Delhi, Chhattisgarh and Karnataka), in the last 24 hours. During the festival season, cases have increased in Kerala, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Delhi."

Wearing face masks to be made mandatory in Rajasthan: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) October 27 (ANI): To prevent the spread of corona infection, the state government is considering making it mandatory to wear masks in the state. Centre owes Rs 12,000 crore to MCD: CM Kejriwal

Chinar Corps celebrates 74th Infantry Day in J and K's Srinagar

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), Oct 27 (ANI): Chinar Corps celebrated the 74th Infantry Day at Badamibagh Cantonment in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar on October 27. Several Army officials paid tribute to slain soldiers. Infantry Day is observed as a remembrance of the first military event of independent India, when the Indian Army repelled the first attack on the Indian soil on October 27, 1947, in the Kashmir Valley. Delhi Police busts interstate racket of drug peddlers

New Delhi, October 27(ANI): With the arrest of accused persons, north district of Delhi Police busted an interstate racket of drug peddlers. The gang members used to hire ambulances to smuggle the drugs. One of the members pretended as a patient to evade their arrest. The district police are constantly working to curb drug trafficking in the area. As a result of continuous intelligence gathering, the police team received secret information that drug peddlers are coming to Mori Gate to supply drugs to local distributors. On this information, the police teams laid a trap near the place of information and accused were found at the spot with some plastic bags. After that, the police team intercepted them and arrested all the accused. During the interrogation, a total of 181kg cannabis were recovered from their possession.
