Delhi felt much hotter than the actual temperature on Saturday, with the heat index, or 'feels like' temperature, touching a scorching 48.4 degrees Celsius even as the maximum temperature settled at 41.3 degrees Celsius.
Safdarjung, the city's base weather station, recorded a minimum temperature of 30.8 degrees Celsius, 2.9 degrees above normal and 2.1 degrees higher than the previous day.
The maximum temperature was 41.3 degrees Celsius, 4.1 degrees above normal and 0.2 degree lower than Friday's.
Other weather stations also recorded a rise in the minimum temperature. Palam recorded a minimum of 28.4 degrees Celsius, 0.9 degree higher than the previous day, while Lodhi Road recorded 29.8 degrees Celsius, up by 2.4 degrees. Ridge and Ayanagar recorded minimum temperatures of 26.8 degrees Celsius and 29.3 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Maximum temperatures remained largely unchanged across most stations.

The US military said Saturday it had struck 10 targets in Iran at President Donald Trump's direction, continuing a string of attacks that have shaken the war's uneasy ceasefire.
US Central Command, in a post to social media, said that US military aircraft targeted Iranian military "surveillance infrastructure, communication systems, air defense sites, drone storage facilities, and minelayer capabilities" following an attack on a merchant vessel early on Saturday morning. It later specified the strikes involved 10 Iranian military targets at multiple locations in and near the Strait of Hormuz.

A magnitude-6.1 earthquake rattled northeastern Japan early Sunday, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the latest in a series of major temblors hitting the region.
No tsunami warning was issued and there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties. But the recent spate of quakes coming during typhoon season has set off worries about mudslides.
Sunday's quake struck off the coast of Iwate Prefecture at 7:25 a.m. local time, with a depth of about 40 kilometers (25 miles), and shook Aomori Prefecture and other nearby regions.
Japan is prone to quakes and tsunami. A series of quakes have hit lately, including a 7.2 magnitude quake that struck Thursday in the area close to Sunday's quake. That magnitude was revised upward from a preliminary estimate.
The agency has warned other quakes may follow. A magnitude 5.6 earthquake shook Yamanashi Prefecture and nearby areas, which are near Mount Fuji and west of Tokyo, on Friday.

Sajjan Jindal-promoted JSW Infrastructure's qualified institutional placement (QIP) received bids worth over Rs 50,350 crore, nearly seven times the indicative issue size of up to Rs 7,503 crore, according to merchant bankers handling the issue.
The QIP, launched on June 22, witnessed strong participation from leading domestic and global institutional investors, suggesting robust appetite for the country's ports and logistics infrastructure story.
The company planned to raise up to Rs 7,502.7 crore through a QIP of 23 crore fresh equity shares, alongside an offer for sale (OFS) of 3.32 crore shares by the promoter. At the floor price of Rs 285 per share, the fresh issue is valued at Rs 6,555 crore and the OFS at Rs 947.7 crore.
The shares were offered at a floor price of Rs 285 apiece, representing a 7.2 per cent discount to the company's June 22 closing price of Rs 307.25 on the BSE.
