Darbhanga/ Banka (Bihar), Feb 17 (ANI): While speaking to ANI in Bihar's Darbhanga, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Janata Dal (United) Amarnath Gami spoke on 'Berojgari Hatao Yatra'. He said, "There is unemployment in Bihar otherwise there would have been no migration. Tejashwi Yadav is taking out 'Berojgari Hatao Yatra' but that alone won't help." "Not possible to remove unemployment without Centre's help. No Bihar Government worked focussing on unemployment," JD(U) MLA added. On the other side, Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) of JD(U) Javed Iqbal Ansari said, "Opposition leaders are taking out 'Berojgari Hatao Yatra'. Migration from Bihar due to unemployment has increased in last 10-15 years and people go to other states to work but get insulted." "Anyone who hits streets for future of youth should be appreciated," he added.

Liquor ban should be implemented in entire country: Nitish Kumar

For the first time ever, a seat reserved for a deity in Kashi Mahakal Express

Varanasi (UP), Feb 17 (ANI): For the first-time ever, the Kashi Mahakal Express train has been turned into a mini-temple for Lord Shiva. Seat number 64 of coach B5 in the train was reserved and left vacant for deity. The train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video-conferencing on February 16. The train will cover 1,131 km between Varanasi and Indore via Lucknow and a distance of 1,102 km between Varanasi and Indore via Prayagraj (Allahabad) in approximately 19 hours.

2 dead, 5 injured after under-construction bridge collapses in WB's Malda

Malda (West Bengal), Feb 17 (ANI): Two people lost their lives and five others were injured after a portion of an under-construction bridge collapsed in Baishnabnagar. The incident took place in Baishnabnagar, Malda district on February 16. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. Further details are awaited.

Fake news can make disease outbreaks worse, research shows

New Delhi, Feb 17 (ANI): It has come to notice that the spread of misinformation, harmful advice, fake news about diseases could be making its outbreaks worse, according to new research from the University of East Anglia (UEA). Researchers say their findings could also be useful for dealing with the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak. The researchers' team is on the take that a bid to combat people sharing misinformation on social media could save lives. Many harmful effects are known around the spread of misinformation, but less known is the possibility that misinformation spread could harm human health, especially during the outbreak of an infectious disease.

Sindhi leader ask Turkish President, UN chief to condemn Pak for violating human rights

Frankfurt (Germany), Feb 17 (ANI): A Sindhi leader living in exile in Germany has urged Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to condemn Pakistan for violating human rights in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, Balochistan, and Sindh. Guterres is on a four-day visit to Pakistan, while Erdogan concluded his two-day visit to the country, last week. Shafi Burfat, who is the chief of Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM) said, "Pakistan occupied a part of Kashmir illegally (referring to PoK), while it continuously terrorised under the guise of religion in another part of Kashmir. Turkish President Erdogan must condemn the Pakistani Army's occupation of Kashmir."

Several people die in Jharkhand's Giridh allegedly due to illicit liquor consumption

A police official said, "8-9 people have died in Fakira Pahari village in Giridih since Feb 08. 3-4 people have died under suspicious circumstances. There are talks that they died after consuming spurious liquor. The cause is yet to be ascertained. Probe is on."

Coronavirus: 406 people in Chhawla quarantine tested negative

Prayagraj (UP), Feb 16 (ANI): BJP MP from Prayagraj Rita Bahuguna Joshi on February 16 flagged off Kashi Mahakal Express at Prayag Junction Railway Station. She said that this train is a very beautiful connection between Jyotirlings. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 16 flagged off India's third private train Kashi Mahakaal Express which will between Varanasi and Indore, covering pilgrim destinations. The train will commence its services from February 20 and will be operated by IRCTC. District level mid-day meal competition organised in Aligarh to boost morale of chefs

Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 16: District level mid-day meal competition was being organised in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh on February 16. Women, who are working as chefs in government schools around the district participated in the competition. Around 30 women participated in the competition form which 10 were shortlisted and then three winners were chosen from the 10 shortlisted chefs. Winner got reward amount of Rs. 3,500, woman who came second got Rs. 2,500 and third woman got Rs. 1,500. The participants got Rs 250 as travel allowance and Rs 250 as consolation prize. The aim of the competition was to motivate the chefs who prepare meals for the school kids in government schools and recognise their work.

"We have to ensure that we do not need to forge an alliance with anyone in the future (in Maharashtra). It will be BJP versus other parties in the next polls.
