Fire breaks out at 2 factories in Delhi's Narela

New Delhi, Dec 24 (ANI): A massive fire broke out at two different factories in Delhi's Narela Industrial area in the wee hours of December 24. Seven fire tenders managed to douse the flames at one of the factories. No casualties or injuries have been reported so far. Fire fighting operations are underway at the other factory, where the fire broke out at around 4:52 am. Further details are awaited.

Pakistani Hindu refugees hail CAA in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer (Rajasthan), Dec 24 (ANI): Where everyone is opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Pakistani Hindu refugees held a march, in support of it in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer. They held placards and raised slogans in support of the new Citizenship Act. These refugees were living in the area for last 5-7 years and had no Indian citizenship so, were not able to avail any facility. Speaking on CAA, one of the refugees said, "we have been staying here since last 5-7 years and we are yet to get citizenship. We don't get facilities. This act will help us lead a better life." Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) gives citizenship to those non-Muslim refugees who came from three neighboring countries i.e., Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

Wadala man thrashed, head tonsured over alleged comment against CM Thackeray

Mumbai, Dec 24 (ANI): A resident of Wadala was allegedly thrashed by Shiv Sena workers for 'objectionable' social media comment against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. He said, "I posted that CM's comparison of Jamia Millia incident with Jallianwala Bagh was wrong. After that 25-30 people thrashed me and tonsured my head." Mumbai Police said Hiramani Vijendra Tiwari (victim) had posted objectionable comments against CM on social media, and was later thrashed by Shiv Sena workers, his head was also tonsured. Both parties have registered cases against each other under relevant sections.

'Mario Kart Tour' multiplayer mode is now available for Gold Pass holders

New Delhi, Dec 24 (ANI): Nintendo's 'Mario Kart Tour' is finally offering the multiplayer mode, however, only Gold Pass subscribers can access it in beta. The game, released in September for iOS and Android, was a single-player experience. However, the company promised to offer a real-time multiplayer mode for Gold Pass subscribers, Engadget notes. The Gold Pass costs USD 4.99 per month. The multiplayer beta test will run until December 26.

Longer exposure to obesity linked with increased risk of type 2 diabetes: Study

New Delhi, Dec 24 (ANI): According to new research, cumulative exposure to obesity and earlier development of obesity could be linked to increased risk of type 2 diabetes (T2D). The study was published in the journal Diabetologia (the journal of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes [EASD]). In this study, the authors used data from the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's Health (ALSWH) to identify body mass index (BMI) trajectories over the early adult life course. Higher initial BMI was associated with an increased risk of diabetes. They conclude their work demonstrates "the importance of preventing or delaying the onset of obesity and reducing cumulative exposure to obesity to substantially lower the risk of developing diabetes.

People thought I was showing off my VIP status: Pragya Thakur on viral SpiceJet video

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Dec 23 (ANI): A video went viral where BJP MP Pragya Thakur was seen arguing with passengers onboard in a Delhi to Bhopal SpiceJet flight. Reacting to the matter, Pragya said that people thought she was showing off her "VIP status" but clarified that she was only travelling as a "normal passenger". She said, "I was travelling on a SpiceJet flight. I have problem in my spinal cord and was allotted seat 1A which has leg space. I even paid extra for it. I was brought there on a wheelchair. Airhostess told me to not sit there. Two more people told me that saying it's an emergency seat. But nowhere was it mentioned that it is an emergency seat. I told them if it is a rule, then I be provided the rule book. They didn't have a rule book. Some passengers came and asked why is the flight being delayed. People thought I am showing off my VIP status but I was travelling as a normal passenger. I travelled with pain at the back, and later complained to Bhopal Airport Direc
