Meet Cocoon, the private Facebook for your family

New Delhi, Nov 26 (ANI): Former Facebook employees are building a new type of social networking platform that will not be meant for the world but your own private world of your family. Called Cocoon, the new social network had been under development with select families and is now open to everyone starting today on Apple iOS, Quartz reports. Users can post updates, emoji, and notifications. Each person using the platform can pick up to a dozen people to join their group or cocoon, including parents or even college roommates. Cocoon is free for now, but the company plans to switch to paid subscriptions

Terror attack averted! Delhi Police Special Cell recovers IED, 1 kg explosives, raw materials

New Delhi, Nov 25 (ANI): Police Special Cell DCP Pramod Kushwaha on November 25 informed that police have recovered complete IED, 1 kg explosives and IED raw materials from apprehended persons who were planning to attack an IED blast at a local fair in Assam's Goalpara. They were also planning to replicate it in Delhi."We have recovered a complete IED, 1 kg explosives and IED raw materials. They learnt to make IED by watching DIY videos," said Pramod Kushwaha, DCP.

This year's mobiles and components export is 1.6 billion dollar: RS Prasad

9 dead in bus-truck collision in UP's Banda

Indian manufactured Apple iPhones will be used domestically and abroad as well: RS Prasad

Delhi Police Special Cell busts ISIS inspired module, 3 arrested

New Delhi, Nov 25 (ANI): Delhi Police Special Cell DCP Pramod Kushwaha on November 25 held a press conference in the national capital. While addressing the media, he informed that police apprehended three persons inspired by ISIS module from Assam's Goalpara. The apprehended persons were planning to attack an IED blast a local fair in Goalpara and they were also planning to replicate it in Delhi also."The three arrested persons were from an ISIS inspired module and were planning to attack using an IED blast a local fair in Goalpara (Assam). Hulimavu Lake bund breach, several houses flooded in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Nov 25 (ANI): Over 800 houses flooded with water and several families were affected after the bund of Hulimavu Lake, off Bannerghatta Road, south Bengaluru, breached on November 24, sending water gushing into at least half-a-dozen localities in its neighbourhood. According to BJP MP and Karnataka Minister R Ashok, "CM took a meeting of all departments and we've decided to put all lakes under one umbrella that is Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), so that there is well defined responsibility.

Speaking on it, Congress MP Hibi Eden said, "We had raised a very genuine issue (Maharashtra) in Lok Sabha and protested in democratic manner. Unfortunately, we were taken out by Marshals who tried to push us forcefully. We have filed complaint with the Speaker. We were in the well of the House, there is no contact with Marshals unless they enter the well. They tried to get banners from us and our colleagues tried to resist it, our women colleagues were manhandled too."

New Delhi, Nov 25 (ANI): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday spoke briefly during Question Hour in the Lok Sabha but did not ask his query and accused the government of "murdering" democracy in Maharashtra. 88 packets of cannabis worth over Rs 70 lakh seized in Tripura, 1 held

Churaibari (Tripura), Nov 25 (ANI): In a joint operation, Police and Border Security Force (BSF) intercepted a truck and seized 'ganja' (cannabis) worth around Rs 70 lakh in Tripura's Churaibari on November 24. They have seized 88 packets of dry cannabis weighing 818 kg. While speaking to ANI, the police official said, "The driver of the truck has been detained. The 'ganja' consignment was seized from a truck with a Haryana registration number from the Churaibari check post at the Tripura-Assam border." Further investigation is underway in this regard.
