Raipur women earn livelihood by making eco-friendly diyas from cow dung

Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Oct 27 (ANI): A group of women are preparing eco-friendly diyas with cow dung under 'Narwa Garwa Ghurwa Badi Scheme' in Chhattisgarh's Raipur. Zila Panchayat CEO said, "Every woman makes around 300 'diyas' every day. It'll boost village economy and empower women".

NCP's Nawab Malik alleges delay in inauguration of Mumbai bridge, threatens to open it himself

Mumbai, Oct 27 (ANI): Nawab Malik, the Mumbai president of Nationalist Congress President (NCP), on October 27 protested by standing atop of a JCB machine near the under-constructed Chunabhatti-BKC flyover, and alleged intentional delay in the inauguration of the bridge, and said that he will himself open the flyover for public use. Later, Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority and police officials too stood on top a JCB machine, and convinced him to come down. After ending his brief protest, Malik said the officials have assured him that the bridge will be opened in a week's time after completion of some signal work.

Ayodhya (UP), Oct 27 (ANI): Cleanliness drive is underway in UP's Ayodhya after the 'Deeptosav' celebration in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya. UP government on October 26 broke its own Guinness World Record for the largest display of oil lamps by lighting a total of 5.5 lakh diyas or earthen lamps in Ayodhya as part of the grand celebration. The Guinness World Record termed the event as "amazing". Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on October 26 also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development projects worth Rs 226 crores in the temple town. Air quality remains 'poor' on Diwali morning in Delhi
