Hyderabad, Aug 24 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended passing out parade of IPS probationers in Hyderabad on August 24. The event held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy. The 'Dikshant Parade' of 70 Regular Recruits (RR) has 92 IPS Probationers including 12 women and 11 foreign officers. The 'Dikshant Parade' is the culmination of basic training of 42 weeks followed by practical training.

New Delhi, Aug 24 (ANI): Researchers have found that people with chronic lower back pain who perform self-administered acupressure experience improvement in pain and fatigue symptoms. In the study, published in the journal, 'Pain Medicine,' the research team randomly assigned 67 participants with chronic low back pain into three groups. "Relaxing acupressure is thought to be effective in reducing insomnia while stimulating acupressure is thought to be effective in fatigue reduction," Murphy said. Participants in the acupressure groups were trained to administer acupressure on certain points of the body, and spent between 27 and 30 minutes daily, over the course of six weeks, performing the technique. She said this study highlights the benefits of a non-pharmacological treatment option that patients could perform easily on their own and see positive results.

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh), Aug 24 (ANI): A woman was allegedly given Triple Talaq by her husband in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya. She was given talaq for giving birth to a girl child. While speaking to ANI, the victim said, "Since the first month of our wedding my husband started torturing me for dowry. When I gave birth to a girl I was given triple talaq. I demand justice." Triple Talaq Bill was passed in Rajya Sabha on July 30 criminalising men for divorcing by uttering talaq thrice. Meanwhile, the Additional SP (Rural) of Ayodhya Shailendra Kumar Singh said, "The incident happened under Haiderganj police station limit. On the basis of the complaint filed by the victim the case has been registered. Investigation is underway in the case."
Bhiwandi (Maharashtra), Aug 24 (ANI): Around one person was declared dead and four others were injured after a four-storey building was collapsed in Maharashtra's Bhiwandi on August 24. The incident took place in Shanti Nagar area of Bhiwandi. Several people are still feared trapped in the debris. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team was immediately pressed into action to rescue the people from the debris. Fire tenders were also rushed to the spot. Rescue operations are underway. While speaking to ANI, Additional Commissioner of Thane Municipal Corporation AshokKumar Rankhamb said, "We had received a message that column of the building might dismantle. Our emergency team reached here and after examination, they found that the building might collapse."
New Delhi, Aug 24 (ANI): If you have been seeing more ads on Instagram this year, you are not alone. Parent company Facebook reportedly instructed Instagram to increase the number of ads in the app towards the end of 2019. According to The Information, Facebook exerted more control over Instagram over the last two years, including the move to rename the app, Mashable reports. Facebook plans to bring Instagram's revenue number closer to its own app, and will heavily rely on commerce to achieve that. Meanwhile, Instagram has been experimenting with in-app shopping features and a standalone shopping app as well.

"CSR violations will not be treated as a criminal offence and instead be as civil liabilities. On or after October 01, 2019 all the Income-tax orders, notices, summons, letters, etc. shall be issued through a centralised computer system", said Nirmala Sitharaman while addressing a press conference in New Delhi.
