Gupkar Alliance is Anti-India: N Ramchander Rao

Hyderabad (Telangana), Nov 17 (ANI): BJP leader N Ramchander Rao on Gupkar Alliance in Jammu and Kashmir said that the parties and stakeholders of the Gupkar Alliance are Anti-India. He further accused the alliance of speaking pro-Pakistan voice. Ramchander Rao said, "After abrogation of Article 370, the PDP and National Conference are changing their stand from time to time. Now in the coming Jammu and Kashmir DDC elections, the BJP has very clearly stated that election will be on development basis and section 370 will not be abrogated at any point of time. So now the Gupkar Alliance parties and all the stakeholders in that are Anti-India and they speak pro-Pakistan voice."

Go (over) easy on the eggs: 'Egg-cess' consumption linked to diabetes

New Delhi, Nov 17 (ANI): New research from the University of South Australia shows that excess egg consumption can increase your risk of diabetes. Conducted in partnership with the China Medical University, and Qatar University, the longitudinal study (1991 to 2009) is the first to assess egg consumption in a large sample of Chinese adults. It found that people who regularly consumed one or more eggs per day (equivalent to 50 grams) increased their risk of diabetes by 60 per cent. With the prevalence of diabetes in China now exceeding 11 per cent - above that of the global average of 8.5 per cent - diabetes has become a serious public health concern. The economic impact of diabetes is also significant, accounting for 10 per cent of global health expenditure (USD $760 billion). In China, diabetes-related costs have exceeded USD USD109 billion. Computer Baba sent to one-day police remand in assault case

Indore (MP), Nov 17 (ANI): Former minister Namdev Das Tyagi, also known as Computer Baba, was sent to one-day police remand on Monday in connection with an assault case. District Prosecution Officer Akram Shaikh said a special court granted him bail in another case of obstructing official work during the demolition of his illegal ashram in Indore. "He will be produced before the court tomorrow. (Tuesday)," he said. DPO said, "There were two cases against Computer Baba. The first case is about obstructing official work in which court has granted him bail. Second was about the incident of Ambikapuri ashram, wherein there was a scuffle with locals, in that case court has sent him to one day Police remand."

Imphal holds fair to sell fish at 20% discount amid COVID pandemic

Imphal (Manipur), Nov 17 (ANI): A one-day fish fair-cum-fish crop competition will be held on November 16. The Directorate of Fisheries is all set to sell fishes for Ningol Chakouba at 20 per cent discount rate compared to previous years. The discount was given as the economy of the state was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. The government had fixed the prices of eight different species of fishes. These species include Catla (Catla Catla), Rohu (Labeo Rohita), Mrigal (C. Mrigala), Common Carp (C. Carpio), Grass Carp (C. Idella), Silver Carp (H. Molitrix), Pengba/Khabak and Ngaton (L. Bata). The average price of the fishes will be Rs 300 per kg and fish production target for the fish fair is 90,000 kg. Of the total 20 per cent discount, 10 per cent is be borne by the department and remaining will be incurred by fish farmers.

Hyderabad Police rescue abducted toddler within 20 hours

Hyderabad, Nov 16 (ANI): Hyderabad City Police solved a child-kidnapping case within 20 hours. "A three-year-old child was kidnapped from MGBS and rescued by Hyderabad City Police. The complaints on Nov 14, said that they were at a bus stand and were going to a village in Karnataka, while they were sitting with their cousins in the bus and having a conversation, a few denied to go and got down from the bus. When they boarded the bus again they found their child missing. Within 20 hours the case was solved and child was rescued," informed Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, Anjani Kumar. Two accused in the case were arrested.
