Kolkata, Nov 06 (ANI): Home Minister Amit Shah on November 06 appealed to the people of West Bengal to give a chance to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, and will make 'Sonar Bangla' within five years ahead of state Legislative Assembly elections. He said, "In 2010, West Bengal gave reigns of the state to Mamata Banerjee. But 10 years down the line, their promises have been proved to be hollow and hopes of people have turned into despair. Give a chance to Narendra Modi's leadership, we will make 'Sonar Bangla' within five years. Our aim is the development of West Bengal." HM is on a two-day visit to WB, and today is the last day of his visit in the state.

Shah slams Mamata, says TMC chief didn't shy away from corruption even during COVID-19

Kolkata, Nov 06 (ANI): Home Minister Amit Shah on November 06 slammed Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee by saying All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief didn't shy away from corruption even during COVID-19 and flood relief work in the state. He said, "Trinamool didn't shy away from corruption even during COVID-19 and flood relief work... They have made three sets of laws in the state - one for the nephew (of Mamata Banerjee), one for their vote bank, and one for the common Bengali." "West Bengal leads in the country when it comes to the killing of political workers. In last one year, 100 BJP workers have been killed, but what action has been taken?" he asked. Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib: Pakistan diplomat arrives at South Block in Delhi after being summoned by MEA

New Delhi, Nov 06 (ANI): Pakistan diplomat arrived at South Block in Delhi after being summoned by Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) over the transfer of management and maintenance of Gurudwara Kartarpur Sahib on November 06. Earlier, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee delegation led by President Manjinder Singh Sirsa MEA Joint Secretary (PAI) met JP Singh over the issue. Pakistan government took away the rights of management of Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur from Pakistan Gurdwara Committee and handed it over to Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB). More details are awaited in the matter.

Jammu, Nov 06 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah slammed Centre over abrogation of article 370 while delivering a speech in Jammu. He said that after the abrogation of Article 370, the people are even more alienated than before rather assimilating into the rest of the country. State government committed to complete project in time: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) November 06(ANI): Rajasthan government is working closely to ensure quick completion of construction work of a petroleum refinery in Barmer. State's economic development will touch new heights with the new refinery plant. The state government is committed to complete the project on time. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot informed this in a review meeting of HPCL Rajasthan Refinery, a joint venture of HPCL and Government of Rajasthan, in Pachpadra. He directed the officials to work closely with the project partner company HPCL at all levels to expedite the construction work of the project. CM said that all requirements of HPCL company will be fulfilled by various departments of the state government. He also informed that regular monitoring of the project will be done at Chief Minister's Office level. The step will lead to better coordination between various departments of the government regarding refinery as well as quick resolution of interdepartmental issues.

After Delhi, Karnataka bans firecrackers in view of COVID-19

Bengaluru, Nov 06 (ANI): After Delhi government, Karnataka followed suit in banning firecrackers in his state, citing COVID-19 as the reason. Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on November 06 announced the decision in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic. "We have taken a decision not to allow bursting of firecrackers in the state, in wake of COVID-19 pandemic. The order will be released soon," said Yediyurappa.

Delhi shopkeepers in for 'huge losses' after ban on firecrackers

New Delhi, Nov 06 (ANI): The decision of banning firecrackers in Delhi has left shopkeepers in trouble in the national capital. Shopkeepers claimed that the ban imposed by government on all types of crackers will cause them a huge loss. "We bought stock of green crackers for sale following Supreme Court's order but now CM banned them too. We will stage protest against the ban," said a seller. Nikita Tomar murder: 600-page charge sheet filed in record 11 days

Faridabad (Haryana), Nov 06 (ANI): Faridabad Police has filed a 600-page charge sheet at a district court in the city in connection with the Ballabgarh murder case in record 11 days. The Ballabgarh case refers to the murder of 21-year-old Nikita Tomar, who was shot dead by a man on October 25. "Faridabad Police has filed the charge sheet in the Nikita Tomar murder case in record 11 days. The 600-page charge sheet has around 60 witnesses. Faridabad Police has conducted the investigation on scientific grounds in which forensic and digital evidences were collected," said Adarshdeep Singh, ACP, Faridabad.

Snapchat introduces new feature to allow creators to showcase subscriber count

New Delhi, Nov 05 (ANI): Multimedia messaging app Snapchat has come out with a new feature where creators will now be able to publicise the number of subscribers they have. Arnab Goswami sent to 14-day judicial custody by court

Mumbai, Nov 5 (ANI): Republic TV Editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami and two others Feroz Shaikh and Nitesh Sarda have been sent to 14-day judicial custody by Alibag District Magistrate Court. Goswami was arrested in early morning of November 4 from his residence in connection with a 2018 suicide case. Speaking to ANI, Arnab Goswami's lawyer, Gaurav Parker said, "It is a big victory for us. MCR (magisterial custody remand) is granted on the very first day. Police custody refused and magistrate custody granted." "We have filed our bail application and it has been kept for arguments. It will be decided tomorrow," he added.
