Four men drown in dam

Four men drowned in Gokulkund dam in Manjarsumbe village in the district today while taking bath, the police said.

The incident occurred after five men entered the water in afternoon, said district Superintendent of Police Ranjankumar Sharma.

While four of them drowned as they did not know how to swim, their friend Pratik Gaikwad managed to come out of the water safely, he said.

The deceased are identified as Yuvraj Salunke (21), Shubham More (20), Shriram Reddi (21), and Ganesh Wayal (21).

Police couldn't trace the bodies of the four so far due to rain and darkness.
