Multiplex chain operator PVR Inox Ltd on Tuesday said its board of directors will meet on August 31 to consider a proposal to buy back the company's equity shares.
The company has not shared any details on the number of shares or the price at which it will offer the buyback plan.
"A meeting of the board of directors of the company is scheduled to be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, inter alia, to consider and approve a proposal for buyback of the equity shares of the company, having a face value of Rs 10 each, and matters incidental and ancillary thereto," PVR Inox said in a regulatory filing.
The outcome of the board meeting will be communicated to the stock exchanges soon after its conclusion, the company said, in accordance with the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations, 2015.
PVR Inox shares touched a 52-week high of Rs 1,283 on August 25, 2026 and a low of Rs 900.05 was recorded on March 2, 2026.

For any relationship to work, it has to meet the test of "mutual interest", External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Saturday in the context of the current state of ties between India and Bangladesh.
The external affairs minister also described Pakistan as a "unique" country in the world as there is no other nation that uses "terrorism so systematically" and in a sustained manner to attack and put pressure on a neighbour.
Jaishankar made the remarks at the Economic Times World Leaders Forum.
"What I can tell you is, for any relationship to work, it has to meet the test of mutual interest. It has to work for us," he said while declining to respond to a question on Dhaka's demand to India to extradite former prime minister Sheikh Hasina.

Market regulator Sebi has proposed introducing a framework for Fixed Income Channel Partners to broaden retail participation in fixed-income securities through online bond platform providers (OBPPs).
The proposal aims to improve access to fixed-income products in Tier-II, Tier-III cities and rural areas, according to a consultation paper issued by Sebi on Friday.
Under the proposed framework, individuals and non-individual entities listed on stock exchanges could act as Fixed Income Channel Partners (FICPs) and facilitate the distribution of permitted fixed-income securities through OBPPs.
Individuals would need to be Indian citizens, be at least 18 years of age, have passed Class 12, and hold a valid NISM Series: Fixed Income Securities certification, among other requirements.
Mutual fund distributors registered with AMFI would also be eligible to apply for FICP status without paying the applicable enlistment fee, subject to passing the relevant NISM certification.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed the Election Commission (EC) to submit data on the pendency and disposal of appeals by tribunals challenging exclusion or inclusion in electoral rolls following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in West Bengal, observing that they need to be adjudicated in a time-bound manner.
A bench of Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana asked the poll panel to explain what steps are being taken to streamline the mechanism for disposing of pending appeals and how many additional tribunals are required.
"Let the Election Commission file a reply specifying how many appeals are pending before Tribunals. The pending appeals be segregated, and it may be disclosed as to how many appeals at the instance of voters who were excluded/included or their cross appeals," it said.
The EC will also explain how many additional tribunals are required to be constituted, the bench said.
