Pakistan's Army chief General Syed Asim Munir has vowed to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country through unabated military operations against militants following Friday's twin suicide attacks that have killed 65 people.
A total of 60 people were killed and more than 60 others were injured in a grisly suicide blast on Friday in Balochistan that targeted a procession to celebrate Prophet Muhammad's birthday near the Madina Masjid in Mastung, an official said.

The Income Tax department has attached a second land property worth about Rs 10 crore in Lucknow as part of its ongoing alleged benami assets possession probe against gangster-politician Mukhtar Ansari and his family.
The department's Benami Assets Investigation wing, headquartered here, has codenamed the comprehensive probe Operation Panther.
It has found that the 'benamidar (in whose name a benami property is standing)' of the 3,234-square feet plot at 13-C/3 in Lucknow's Dalibagh area is a Ghazipur-based woman named Tanveer Sahar.
Official records accessed by PTI show that the department attached the plot under Section 24(3) read with Rule-5 of the Prohibition of Benami Properties Transaction Act on September 29 as it found that the linked people are "very influential" and that the property is located in a prime location and can be disposed of clandestinely.
While the plot's stamp valuation is just over Rs 76 lakh, official sources pegged its market value at about Rs 10 crore.

The Indian team on Sunday finished last in a five-team field to crash out of equestrian cross country after rider Ashish Limaye was eliminated here at the Asian Games.
The Indian team consisting of Vikas Kumar, Apurva Dabhade and Limaye finished with a total penalty score of 1070.80 which was significantly higher than other competitors.
Limaye had topped the dressage discipline in equestrian eventing competition on Saturday.
In the cross country event, while Kumar had total penalties of 41.20 and Dabhade had 29.60, Limaye was eliminated for missing two jumps.
"This happens in high-level sports. He is a good rider. He has experience. He jumped the first two fences and after the combination he turned left to go outside (the route), forgot to turn right," said Indian coach Rodolphe Scherer after the event.

The price of natural gas produced from difficult areas like deepsea KG-D6 block of Reliance Industries on Sunday was cut by a steep 18 per cent, in line with softening of benchmark international gas prices, an official notification said.

North Korea slammed the United States over a recent Pentagon report that labelled it a persistent threat because of weapons of mass destruction, saying it will counter any US aggression or provocations with the most overwhelming and sustained response strategy.
