Who is Jagdish Mukhi : Jagdish Mukhi is the present Governor of Assam. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Mukhi had previously been a prominent face for the BJP in Delhi. Born in 1 December 1942, he did his M Com from Shri Ram College of Commerce of the Delhi University (DU). He was actively involved in student politics before entering mainstream politics with the Janata Party in 1977.
