Who is Pralhad Joshi?

Pralhad Joshi is an Indian politician and leader of Bharatiya Janata Party. He is currently serving as the Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution & New and Renewable Energy in the NDA government.
 
In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, he won for the fifth time in a row in the Dharwad Lok Sabha Constituency by defeating his Congress opponent Vinod Asuti by margin of 97,324 votes.

Education and Profession
 
Joshi has a degree of B.A. from K.S. Arts College, Hubli and Karnataka University, Dharwad, Karnataka.
 
He is an industrialist by profession according to his affidavit.
