AU Small Finance Bank (AU SFB), which recently received the RBI's in-principle approval to transition into a universal bank, has roped in film actors Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna as its brand ambassadors. The partnership strengthens AU SFB's effort to build a preferred national banking brand with strong consideration across urban, metro, and deeper Bharat markets, the bank said in a statement on Monday. The collaboration supports AU SFB's focus on driving stronger preference for its core product strengths in Savings Accounts and Current Accounts, it said. "As we prepare for our transition into a Universal Bank, strengthening customer consideration for our core offerings becomes even more important. Ranbir and Rashmika connect deeply with different parts of India and different types of audiences," AU SFB MD & CEO Sanjay Agarwal said. This association will add momentum to its next phase of growth by elevating brand relevance, widening reach across key markets, he added.
Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Aamir Khan, as well as cricket players Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah, have invested in power transmission firm Karamtara Engineering's pre-IPO round. Karamtara Engineering is a backwards-integrated manufacturer of products for the renewable energy and transmission lines sectors. It offers a diverse product portfolio, which enables it to serve as a one-stop shop for solar structures (fixed-tilt and trackers). The company offers lattice structures for transmission lines, fasteners for solar, wind, transmission and industrial sectors, and overhead transmission line hardware fittings and accessories. As part of the transaction, the company's promoters, Tanveer Singh and Rajiv Singh, have transferred an aggregate of 34,09,724 equity shares at Rs 310 apiece for an aggregating amount of Rs 106 crore, by way of a secondary sale, according to a public announcement. Ranbir Kapoor-starrer "Animal" will start streaming on Netflix from January 26, the platform announced on Thursday. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri. "Animal", which hit the screens on December 1, went on to become one of the highest earning Hindi films of 2023 despite being criticised for its poor portrayal of women, misogyny and graphic violence. Ranbir Kapoor said he is looking forward to the digital premiere of his film on Netflix. The Delhi High Court has issued summons to Super Cassettes and Netflix on a plea by Cine 1 Studios, a co-producer of Bollywood film "Animal", seeking to restrain the release of the movie on digital streaming platforms and its satellite broadcast. The movie, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, was released in theatres on December 1, 2023 and is set to be released on Netflix on January 26. The high court issued summons to Super Cassettes Industries Pvt Ltd, a co-producer of the film, and Cluver Max Entertainment Pvt Ltd (formerly known as Sony Pictures Networks Ltd) with whom an agreement was signed for granting of satellite rights of the film. Justice Sanjeev Narula said the three defendants shall also file affidavits of admission or denial of the documents produced by the plaintiff, without which their written statements will not be taken on record.
