Nima to organise industrial expo in Nashik

The Nashik Industries and Manufacturers' Association (Nima) is planning to organise an industrial expo, Nima Index-2006, at Nashik.
 
It aims to provide a platform to both buyers and sellers for directly interacting with each other.
 
Different industries will be given a chance to display their products as well. Around 300 small and large industries from different parts of the country will participate in the six-day event to be held at Dongre Hostel ground here from January 25, 2006. About 1.5 lakh businessmen and traders are expected to visit the expo.
 
"Nima Index is a major event and it is organised once in three years for providing opportunities to various industries, traders, service providers and professionals to exhibit their products and services. This is the nineth expo in the series," said Vivek Gogate, president, Nima.
 
So far, around 125 industries have confirmed their participation.
 
The list includes big industries such as Turbo Ltd, Conserve Systems Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, Loknal Industries, Noida, Delhi, Hindusthan Lever Ltd, VIP Industries Ltd, Motor Industries Co Ltd (Mico), Mahindra & Mahindra, Eureka Forbes, Indian Tools, Taparia Tools, Richfield Automation Ltd, Bedmutha Wire Co Ltd and LITE India Ltd.
 
The exhibition area will cover 20,000 square meters and the stalls will be available in two categories, covered carpeted prefabricated stalls (CCPS) and covered open space (COS).
 
Separate facilities for cafeterias/ fast food centres, information centres, fire brigades, business centres, first aid centres, ambulance services, centralised security, seminar halls and sanitation have also been planned.
 
Nashik is a part of Golden Triangle project along with Mumbai and Pune. Nashik has the highest percentage of business entities (over 800 entities) accredited with the coveted ISO 9000 quality systems, said Gogate.
 
"Through this exhibition, we are attempting to attract big investments in Nashik's industrial sector. We are promoting the city's infrastructure and its suitability for new industrial investments.
 
The city has a favourable climate through out the year, adequate water and power supply, competent manpower, good work culture and a cosmopolitan population, " Gogate added.
