Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 launched

Harley-Davidson, the largest selling premium motorcycle brand, has launched Sportster 1200, priced at Rs 8.9 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi.



A classic looking motorcycle, the Sportster 1200 has lots of chrome garnishing. Unlike other Harley bikes where the speedometer pod sits on top of the headlight, it is mounted on the handlebars in the Sportster 1200. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Harley is yet to reveal the power output of the bike.



The Sportster 1200 uses the 1202cc, air-cooled V-twin engine and is aimed at those looking for a light, traditional looking Harley. The Sportster 1200 is expected to compete with the Indian Scout.



The Sportster 1200 will be assembled in Harley-Davidson’s Bawal factory in Haryana. With the Sportster’s launch, the total model count of Harley Davidson bikes in India has risen to 13.
