Air Sahara unveils T'puram-Delhi flight

Air Sahara has expanded its reach by adding Thiruvananthapuram to its route network by offering a daily flight from the Kerala capital to Delhi.

With this, the airline has become the first to offer a non-stop flight between Thiruvananthapuram and Delhi .

"The Thiruvananthapuram-Delhi flight would connect Thiruvananthapuram, with Kolkata, Lucknow and Indore before landing in the national capital," Alok Sharma, president, Air Sahara, told mediapersons here today.

"Air Sahara has been able to strengthen its presence in southern India with the unveiling of the new route. The inaugural fare between Thiruvananthapuram and Delhi would be Rs 5,250 and would have a flight time of 3 hours and 15 minutes," Sharma added.

The airline also operates direct Delhi-Kochi flight at present. The flight will take off from Thiruvananthapuram at 12.30 pm and reach Delhi at 3.45 pm. The return flight would leave Delhi at 7.35 in the morning and land in Thiruvananthapuram, via Kochi, at 11.50 am.

Air Sahara also unveiled holiday packages in Thiruvananthapuram. Apart from travel and stay at select properties, these packages include value additions like sight seeing tours and other recreational facilities, company officials said.
