Aishwarya Design Studio to invest Rs 20 crore in Gujarat for retail

Mumbai-based leading fashion retail company, Aishwarya Design Studio plans to around Rs 20 crore for retail in Gujarat. The company plans to set up retail stores offering bridal wear, designer sarees, casual wear, salwar kameez and dress materials in cities like Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Navsari and Anand.

While the company launched its flagship store in Ahmedabad, Aishwarya Design Studio is also scouting for spaces in other cities of Gujarat."We have launched our flagship retail store in Ahmedabad for an investment of Rs 10 crore. Later, we plan to enter other cities like Surat, Vadodara, Navsari and Anand. We will be investing around Rs 20 crore for our retail business in Gujarat," said Paresh Gada, managing director of Aishwarya Design Studio.The company, which was into wholesale distribution of textile products before entering into fashion retail, also plans to expand its Ahmedabad store from current 10,000 sq ft to over 25,000 sq ft in near future. In Mumbai, the company runs around five fashion retail stores.

 

"In Gujarat, we are primarily looking at catering to the NRI and niche crowd. Apart from Mumbai, Gujarat is a major market for bridal wear and we hope to cash in on the launch prior to the upcoming wedding season," said Gada.Apart from Gujarat, the company is also launching co-partnered retail stores in the UK. In order to consolidate on fashion retail, Aishwarya Design Studio is also planning to launch ethnic wear for kids.Meanwhile, having pegged a turnover of Rs 25 crore, the company aims to double its revenue through its retail launch in Gujarat.
