Apax Partners Europe Managers Ltd, through its arm HSTN Acquisition (FII) Ltd, has sold around 5.4 million shares in Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd (AHEL) for an aggregate amount of Rs 445.26 crore, at a trade price of Rs 824.55 per share. This was done through the open market. With this, the private equity player has sold almost 8 per cent share in the company, of the total around 12 per cent shares it held earlier.
Around 4.9 million shares were picked up by Oppenheimer Funds Inc while 500,000 shares were picked up by three other funds, according to a senior company official. However, the details of these funds are yet to be known.
