Ashok Leyland Ltd has today said that K Sridharan ceased to be the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Company as at the close of business on August 31, 2013, consequent to his superannuation. Gopal Mahadevan, former CFO of Thermax Ltd, has been appointed as the CFO of the Company with effect from September 1, 2013 in place of Sridharan.
Sridharan served the company for close to three decades and has been heading the finance function of Ashok Leyland, according to the company.
Gopal Mahadevan was the CFO of Thermax Ltd from 2007 mid 2013, by when he resigned from the company. Prior to that, he also served as the CFO of Amara Raja Batteries Ltd and was looking after finance and strategy of Amara Raja Batteries, according to earlier reports.
