Audi India posts 84% rise in Sept sales

Luxury car maker Audi India today reported a 83.77% jump in sales for September 2011, at 555 units.

The company had sold 302 units in the corresponding month last year, Audi India said in a statement.

During January-September period this year, the company's sales increased by 93.30% to 4,210 units from 2,178 units in the year-ago period, it added.

"We attribute this phenomenal growth to our continued focus on introducing an energetic product line, qualitative network growth and strong brand pull," Audi India Head Michael Perschke said.

The company has launched six models this year and is focusing at strengthening its dealership network not only in metros, but also in Tier II and III cities, he added.
