BAG Films net up 82%

BAG films has posted a 82 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 1.10 crore for the quarter ended December, 2004 compared with Rs 60 lakh during the corresponding quarter of previous year.

Net Income has also grown by 112 per cent to Rs 9.60 crore in the current quarter against Rs 4.53 crore during the previous year's corresponding quarter.

Crompton net up 98%

Crompton Greaves has posted a 98 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 31.59 crore in the third quarter ended December 2004 from Rs 15.94 crore in Q3 December 2003. Net sales have risen 19.2 per cent to Rs 516.80 crore from Rs 433.39 crore.

For the nine months April-December 2004, net profit has risen 79 per cent to Rs 74.05 crore from Rs 41.37 crore. Net sales have risen 14.98 per cent to Rs 1470.54 crore from Rs 1278.93 crore.

The performance of its three key divisions - power systems, consumer products and industrial system was strong which boosted the third quarter and nine month results of Crompton Greaves.

A rebound in the industrial segment has led to the strong performance of the industrial systems division. Crompton's industrial systems division, includes the electric motors and alternators businesses.

Guj Borosil net up 143%

Gujarat Borosil has registered a 143 per cent growth in its net profit at Rs3.73 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2004 compared with Rs 1.57 crore during the corresponding period of previous year.

Net sales have jumped by 15 percent to Rs 23.15 crore for the current quarter against Rs 20 crore for previous year's similar quarter.
