BIAL evaluates flight catering tenders

| Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) has ranked LSG Sky Chefs (I) Private Limited, Taj SATS Catering Limited and Gate Gourmet/Ambassador's Sky Chef as the top three after evaluating the tenders for flight catering service. |
| The board of BIAL has approved the evaluation of the tenders. "BIAL will ask the first two parties to match its turnover fee proposal. In case they agree, BIAL will then finalise the appendices with the two parties and sign the agreements as proposed. In case the agreements cannot be concluded with the two first ranked parties in a reasonable time, BIAL will take up negotiations with the third ranked party," BIAL said in a statement on Thursday. |
| Apart from the top three firms, Alpha Group, Sky Gourmet and Oberoi Flight Services had qualified for the tender for flight catering. |
| BIAL's main objectives are to offer flight catering services to airlines to meet the best international standards and competitive prices and, to enable safe and efficient flight catering ramp handling and operations. |
| BIAL, a company formed to design, build, own and operate the first greenfield private sector-owned and operated airport in India, has been identifying concessionaires for various other services. |
| Agreements have already been signed for aviation fuel and cargo handling facilities. While Indian Oil/Skytanking have been selected for supplying the aviation fuel, two consortia "� SATS/Air-India and Bobba Group/Menzies Aviation "� will handle the cargo movement. |
