Cipla Q3 net surges 40% to Rs 175 cr

Cipla posted 40 per cent growth in net profit during the third quarter ended Decemeber 31, 2005, to Rs 175.31 crore against Rs 125.67 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter last year.

The company's total income, during the quarter under review, increased to Rs 855.07 crore from Rs 637.32 crore for the previous corresponding quarter.

Cipla's exports jumped 32.63 per cent year on year to Rs 320.5 crore driven largely by a surge in its formulations business.
