Dabhol LNG terminal likely by Feb

GAIL might commission its Dabhol liquefied natural gas terminal by February 2013.

Chairman B C Tripathi said, "We will get a new cargo for Dabhol on December 28 from Russia’s Gazprom. So, the commissioning of Dabhol should be on track."

Ratnagiri Gas and Power Pvt Ltd has developed the Dabhol LNG terminal, promoted by GAIL and NTPC. The terminal had achieved mechanical completion in 2009-10. Dredging of the shipping channel to allow LNG carriers to enter the jetty was undertaken between October 2011 and January 2012.
