With the festive season likely to see a massive customer base growth, companies are pushing new shopping models like WhatsApp sales, which will create 300,000 temporary and permanent jobs. 

About 20 per cent of these temporary workers are usually retained at the end of the festive season, according to a Redseer report.

Sales are expected to touch $4 billion this year because of Covid-driven online adoption.
