Encore's decision shows results

Encore Software, developers of Simputer, announced that a Hyderabad-based dotGNU developer has ported his work to the simputer, providing .NET support on the platform.

The announcement comes less than 72 hours after Encore released software tools for Encore Simputer under an Open Source licence.

According to Encore's CEO Vinay Deshpande, "We hear of other projects and applications looking into porting to Encore Simputer. We are delighted to be able to support President Kalam's call to embrace open source.
