Exxon Neftegas, a subsidiary of US-based Exxon Mobile, has called off a $34 million deal with Aban Offshore for hiring the its offshore drilling rig.

		</script> </DIV><p class='TableClas'>Exxon Neftegas has terminated its contract with Beta Drilling regarding the hiring of Aban Offshore's Murmanskaya rig, Aban Offshore said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>Last month the company had signed a contract with Exxon Neftegas for the deployment of the jack-up rig Murmanskaya Offshore Russia for a two well programme, which was expected to commence operations from June.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <BR>Further, Aban Offshore has received a letter of intent from Husky Oil China for the same rig, involving an estimated revenue of $10.53 million.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>The contract is for about 50 days and has been contracted for one well programme, it said.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>Shares of Aban Offshore closed at Rs 4,054.75, up 4.41 per cent on the BSE. </P></p><p class='TableClas'></p></table>
