Exxon Neftegas has terminated its contract with Beta Drilling regarding the hiring of Aban Offshore's Murmanskaya rig, Aban Offshore said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Last month the company had signed a contract with Exxon Neftegas for the deployment of the jack-up rig Murmanskaya Offshore Russia for a two well programme, which was expected to commence operations from June.
Further, Aban Offshore has received a letter of intent from Husky Oil China for the same rig, involving an estimated revenue of $10.53 million.
The contract is for about 50 days and has been contracted for one well programme, it said.
Shares of Aban Offshore closed at Rs 4,054.75, up 4.41 per cent on the BSE.
