GGCL hikes gas prices for industrial users

Gujarat Gas Company Limited (GGCL) has revised its gas prices upwards by four percent from the exiting charges for its industrial consumers. The revised prices are Rs 30.25 per standard cubic meter for a higher consuming slab, while lower consuming slab will be charged Rs 26.97 per scm from February 1. “Sharp increase in LNG prices necessitated price hike. We have not made hike in domestic gas prices or CNG prices,” said Sugata Sircar, MD, GGCL. This is a first hike by GGCL since July 2012.
