GHA audits Granules plant

Granules India Limited's new PFI 7200 MTPA plant at Gagillapur, one of the largest of its kind in the world, has successfully gone through the first international regulatory audit by the German Health Authority (GHA).
With this approval, the company can now export its products to Europe from this facility, having the largest batch capacity of 6MT . It can also expand its presence in these markets significantly, according to a company press release here.
So far, the European markets were being serviced from the company's Jeedimetla plant, which has a limited capacity and is also less capable of introducing new products required in the European markets.
According to the release, the systems and procedures at Gagillapur plant have been found to be compliant with the requirements of the German Health Authority.
The company said it would also seek in the near future similar approvals from other regulatory bodies such as the Australian TGA and USFDA.
