Goodyear Chairman Pierre Eric Cohade resigns

Tyre maker Goodyear India today said it has appointed Daniel Lawrence Smytka as its Chairman following the resignation of Pierre Eric Cohade with immediate effect.

"Pierre Eric Cohade, chairman and director had resigned from the board of the company effective the close of business hours on December 15, 2011," Goodyear India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The company further said Daniel Lawrence Smytka has been appointed as an additional director of the company effective from December 16, 2011.

"Smytka was thereafter appointed as chairman of the board," it added.

The shares of the company today declined 1.81% and closed at Rs 298.15 apiece on the BSE.
