Hcc Shifts Accounting Year To April-March

The Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has shifted its accounting year to April 1-March 31 from this fiscal (2002-03). Earlier, its financial year ended on June 30.

The company has become the first Indian construction firm to get the OHSAS 18001 certification for its occupational health and safety assessment practices by Rwtuv, a German agency.

HCC has also been certified with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 for its quality management and environmental management system, respectively. Mohammed Ashraf, head of quality maintenance division, HCC, said:
