L&T Infotech chief operating officer Chandrashekar Kakal (COO) said he had resigned from his post. Kakal, a former Infosys senior vice-president, had joined L&T Infotech in May last year, and was a board member of the company.
Shuttling between Mumbai and Bengaluru, where he was located, was taking a toll on his health, Kakal told Business Standard reasoning out his decision to quit. “I was waiting for some appropriate time to leave the company,” he said. August 31 would be his last date at L&T Infotech.
Kakal aims to take up mentorship role in few start-ups apart from investing in them. He also intends to drive his passion of promoting education in rural areas and help bringing in innovation in to the field of agriculture.
Kakal’s exit comes at a time when L&T Infotech is preparing to go for an initial public offering (IPO).
