Malaysia for tie-up with Wipro

A high-power Malaysian delegation, during its recent visit to the Wipro campus in Bangalore is understood to have discussed strategic partnership opportunities leveraging the IT experience of Wipro.
 
The delegation, led by Yang Amat Berhormat, deputy prime minister and minister of defence and senior Malaysian government officials, had called on Wipro chairman Ajim Premji, a company statement said.
 
"The visit to Wipro campus provided the Malaysian delegation an opportunity to view the company's IT services and practices. Wipro's journey towards becoming a leading IT services and independent R&D services provider to corporations globally is something we can emulate," Berhormat said in a statement.
 
Wipro chairman Azim Premji said that it was nice that the deputy premier and his team visited the campus. "Wipro has a presence in Malaysia and this meeting strengthened our relationship further," he added.
 
According to Rajat Mathur, chief executive, business solutions and head, international operations of Wipro's ASEAN, Middle East and APAC business unit, there is a tremendous synergy in the Malaysian market and the company aimed to strengthen the partnerships in the years to come.
 
"Our company is extremely committed to building a strong customer base in Malaysia," he said.
