Maxxum Postpones Subsidiary Plan

Maxxum, the joint venture distribution company of Highland Distillers of Scotland, Remy Martin of France, Jim Bean of the US and Absolut Vodka of Sweden, has deferred the formation of a subsidiary company in India for now.

Dinesh Jain, managing director of Highland Distillers (India and Area countries), said that time was not ripe for Maxxum to come in as the market for top end products was yet to develop.
