Mother Dairy, a popular milk and milk products brand owned by National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), today announced the launch of traditional sweets this Diwali.

Mother Dairy had entered the space of dairy desserts with launch of 'Mishti Doi' and 'Rice Kheer' few years back. It has now launched Chhana Kheer, Khoya and an assorted pack of Indian traditional sweets in its range of desserts.

Speaking on the launch, Subhasis Basu, business head, dairy products, Mother Dairy said, "These days’ people have become very health conscious and are very meticulous in terms of their food intake. With reports coming in rampantly about adulterated khoya and sweets being sold during festive seasons, Mother Dairy took the decision to launch traditional sweets hence giving the consumers a safe and pure alternative in sweets. There was also a need for khoya in consumer packs from a credible source since most of the households use it for making various sweets."

Mother Dairy sweets will be available across select Mother Dairy booths along with local kirana stores. Khoya is available in 200 gm pack and is priced at Rs 60 per pack; the chana kheer is available in 125 gm cup priced at Rs 25.

As a Diwali gift item, Mother Dairy is also offering Indian sweets gift pack priced at Rs 450 for an 800 gm pack.
