Nandan Biomatrix to launch 8 products

Nandan Biomatrix Limited, which is focusing on the production of nutraceuticals and biofuels, has come out with eight speciality products enriched with Safed Musli (chlorophytum borivianum), a potent herb used for aphrodisiac and health promotion.

The eight products were being test-marketed and would be launched in the domestic market in a couple of months and in the international markets later, company's managing director, V Bhaskar Rao, told mediapersons here on Friday.

He said that clinical trials of the products have shown positive results on the aphrodisiac parameters and the product evaluation had been done by the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology here.

According to Rao, the company has identified 25 potential Indian herbs and studied the active chemical constituents in each herb. It is currently providing standardised herbal extract solutions to nutraceutical and pharmaceutical industries.
