I Rahman to be UTI interim CEO

Imtaiyazur Rahman, who is currently the CFO of UTI Mutual fund is tipped to be the fund house's interim CEO, according to people familiar with the development. An announcement is expected soon. He was part of the four-member interim management committee appointed after previous chairman U K Sinha quit UTI in February 2010. Imtaiyazur Rahman is a BSc graduate from FICWA, FCS and CPA (USA).

He has over 17 years of experience in Finance, Accounts, Taxation, Administration, IT, Operations, HR and Secretarial functions. He has worked with Bells Controls Ltd., Leasing Finance India Ltd., Sumeet Machines Ltd. and UTI TSL.

 

He has been with UTI AMC since 2003 as Company Secretary and is looking after Investment Accounts, AMC-Accounts, Information Technology and Secretarial Functions of UTI Mutual Fund.

He is presently the Chief Financial Officer, the Company Secretary and Head-Department of Administration & IT and Department of Funds Management (Dealing Section-Administration) of UTI MF.
