Sahara Group takes charge of Air Sahara

 "All the joint programmes, entered as a part of the acquisition agreement, are nor valid now," the executive said. Key Air Sahara executives including its president Alok Sharma reviewed operations across the country, as a part of the strategy to gain back the control over the airline.

"Our immediate challenge is to get the airline back into full operations and identify areas of growth. We have to embark on a high growth strategy," he said.

Air Sahara today filed a caveat at the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court pleading that the company should be heard before any order is passed in the ongoing dispute over the transfer of management control to Jet Airways.

An Air Sahara executive said this was done with an intent of getting an opportunity before anything is heard or decided on the dispute.

 Yesterday, Air Sahara had secured an interim order from a Lucknow district court restraining Jet from withdrawing money from the escrow account opened for its takeover by the latter till June 23, while informing the court that Jet airways had terminated the takeover deal.

On the operations side, Air Sahara executives said the daily 125 flights of the carrier operated normally and with out any disruptions.
