Sakthi Sugars in the black in third quarter

Sakthi Sugars has bounced back in the black in the quarter ended March 31, 2005. It registered a net profit of Rs 25.15 crore, compared with the corresponding previous period's net loss of Rs 1.05 crore.

Net sales, during the quarter jumped 176 per cent to Rs 212.42 crore from Rs 76.81 crore. The results were on the back of surge in sales and firm sugar prices, analysts said.
