Samsung ties up with Bharti, Idea

Samsung India Electronics Limited has tied up with cellular operators Bharti and Idea for bundling its mobile handsets with a connection.
 
"While the alliance with AirTel will be in all its operational circles, Samsung handsets will be bundled with an Idea connection in select circles. Our attractive operator tie-ups and strong brand building should see us doubling our mobile volumes this year," said Kunal Ahuja, vice-president, telecom, Samsung India in a press conference here.
 
The company also announced launch of four new models SGH-X600, SGH-X500, SGH-X430 and SGH-X100.
 
These sets come with features such as multi language display and input facility, 65K colour screen, 40 polyphonic melody, multimedia messaging and down loading Java enabled games.
 
These handsets are in the price range of Rs 8,699-Rs 14599. With these models, number of Samsung mobile phones available in the Indian market has increased to 11.
