Shrenuj net up 9%

Shrenuj & Company, the gems and jewellery firm, has reported 9 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 7.58 crore during the quarter ended 31 December 2007 as against Rs 6.98 crore for the corresponding period last year. Net sales for the third quarter of this financial year grew by 31 per cent to Rs 245.75 crore compared to Rs 187.28 crore last year.

BEL Q3 net profit drops 24%

Due to sluggish growth in its topline coupled by increasing employee cost, defence public sector undertaking Bharat Electronics has reported 23.7 per cent drop in net profit at Rs 112.97 crore for the quarter ended December 2007 compared with the corresponding quarter last year.

The company posted a 19.6 per cent decline in total income to Rs 726.93 crore during the quarter, compared to the same period in the previous fiscal.

Century Textiles net up at Rs 72.80 cr

Century Textiles & Industries has posted a 114.55 per cent increase in net profit of Rs 72.80 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2007, compared with Rs 33.93 crore recorded during the same period a year ago.

The company's total Income rose to Rs 856.87 crore during the quarter under review, as against Rs 813.33 crore recorded during the comparable period of last financial year.

Gujarat Ambuja profit up 111%

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Ambuja Exports, an agro processing company, today declared an interim dividend of 20%. GAEL reported a turnover of Rs 500.38 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007, up by almost 27 per cent compared to the corresponding period last year.
