Taj GVK Hotels net doubles to Rs 10cr

Taj GVK Hotels and Resorts, the joint venture company formed after the alliance of Taj Group of Hotels and the GVK group, today reported a net profit of Rs 10.10 crore, a growth of 106 per cent for the quarter ended June 30, 2010.

The company, which has four properties under its belt mostly in the south, had posted a net profit of Rs 4.89 crore during the same period last year.

Net sales for the same period grew by 27 per cent to Rs 60.5 crore as against Rs 47.6 crore posted for the corresponding quarter a year earlier.
