Tata Power has achieved six lakh consumers in Mumbai registering a growth of 20% in first two months of 2015 over same period last year.

Over 62% of customers have a monthly consumption less than 300 units a month.

" We are happy to have reached this milestone of 6 lakh consumer-base in Mumbai. We stay committed to our consumers, and promise to deliver enhanced services at competitive prices," Tata Power's executive director Ashok Sethi said in a statement

Tata Power's multi year tariff proposal is awaiting clearance from the state electricity regulator.

According to the proposal, charges for home users consuming 0-100 units (Rs 2.62 a unit) and 100-300 units (Rs 4.56 a unit) have been kept unchanged.

Charges for those consuming over 300 units and 500 units have been reduced by 7.7% and 8.4%, respectively.
