Tibre launches new variants

Coimbatore-based Gangotri Textiles Limited (GTL), which markets the Tibre brand of trousers in the men's wear segment, has added two new variants to its product line.
 
During the launch press conference, Sunil Keskar, regional marketing manager of Tibre trousers, said, "The two variants of the product - Feather Touch and Martix "� uses the patented 'Supercrease' technology from the UK that provides permanent crease to the garment and makes it withstand at least 80 washes."
 
Priced between Rs 745 and Rs 1,295, the products are positioned in a premium segment of the market targeting office-goers.
 
At present, Tibre products are available in 720 stores across the country. "We plan to set up our own exclusive stores, one in each metro on a franchisee basis," Ramakrishna, marketing manager, added.
 
The Rs 180-crore company plans to increase its manufacturing capacity from the present 1,000 units a day to around 4,000 units per day in a year's time.
 
The brand registered 60 per cent growth by mid '05 for the year and a 40 per cent growth since its launch five years back.
