Universal Tata Intl plans new mfg facility in Germany

Universal Tata International (UTI), a joint venture between Pune-based Universal Construction Machinery & Equipment Ltd (UCMEL) and Tata International Ltd (TIL), is planning to set up a construction equipment manufacturing facility in Germany involving an investment of around Rs 1,000 crore.

UCMEL had recently tied up with TIL, the international trading arm of the Tata group, to market and distribute its products through TIL’s global network. TIL has a presence in 22 countries, especially in Africa, West Asia, South East Asia and China.

At present, UCMEL sells its products in international market through its joint venture — Universal Tata International.
